STUDENT TESTAMONIALS

ALAN WATT, author of the bestseller DIAMOND DOGS, which Vadim Perelman, director of HOUSE AND SAND AND FOG, has acquired to film, says, "In an industry driven by fear and hype, it is nice to have a trustworthy place where I can get a reality check that is still drenched in optimism.  Marc and Elaine's list of credits speak for themselves.  With integrity and concern, they have helped me make smarter decisions in advancing my career.  I have saved time and made more money, as well as being able to lay some demons to rest.  They are an ongoing resource for me and I am forever grateful."

STEVEN-ELLIOT ALTMAN, writer of the hot new Columbia-Tristar/TNT pilot and Times best-selling novel DEPRIVERS, comments, "When Marc and Elaine took me under their wing, I was green, fresh from New York and without a single Industry contact.  With their guidance, I pitched my unsold novel as a TV and movie project twenty-three times in five days -- ending up with NINE offers from major companies and the heat that sold the novel.  Now I'm in pre-production on the two-hour pilot of the novel and attached as both writer and producer!  Regardless of the level you're currently at in the Hollywood circuit, I highly recommend coaching from Marc and Elaine."

Former New York police officer turned actor MIKE OLIFIERS writes,  "Before I took Marc and Elaine's class, I thought there were all these rules that stopped me dead.  Thanks to them, I found how to make myself stand out to important casting directors, executive producers and feature directors - and punch through to the career I always dreamed of.  I got personal meetings with top showrunners and landed major roles on shows such as NYPD BLUE and THE GUARDIAN.  One day's work on BRUCE ALMIGHTY turned into three weeks of shooting.  Now I'm sitting in the front row at the premiere!"

DEREK RYDALL comments, "The Zicrees made me realize that most of the walls I thought were keeping me out of the game were built by me -- and then they took a wrecking ball to them!"

ACTRESS NEVA HOWELL notes, "I was skeptical when I attended my first class with Marc and Elaine. It seemed like a lot of money. However, the very first class, I connected with someone who had a direct line to a director I wanted to work with and also connected with several upcoming directors who, over the course the class, accepted my demo reel and have since told me they would 'hire me in a heartbeat' when the proper project and part arose. Even though I made the decision to relocate back to Alabama where my family and my heart remain, I still feel very connected to the Los Angeles scene thru the Zicrees and know that I have a group of friends in a pretty tough town that will be there when I come back in for training, pilot season, etc. It was an excellent investment for me, and I'd highly recommend Marc and Elaine's class to anyone -- but especially to anyone new in town who would like to hit the ground running."

DEB PETGRIDES adds, "Marc and Elaine Zicree are true mentors... patient, knowledgeable and motivational.  They have many contacts and bring in various working artists to pass on their experiences.  I can't wait to take the next session!"

ACTOR, PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR MATILDA NOVAK says, "Marc and Elaine KNOW their stuff!  And they're great to work with.....I wholeheartedly recommend their classes to anyone who is serious about a career in any facet of the industry.  Whether you're just starting out, or feeling burned-out and in need of a 'boost' --- the Zicrees can help."

WRITER SCOTT KING says, "The class was excellent as it not only covered the basics of screenwriting, but also to reminded us what writing is supposed to be in the first place: a chance to relax, enjoy, and see what unforeseen people, places, and things we can fill the blank page with.  Not to mention the opportunity to meet those people in the industry who've 'made it' to let us know they too were once at the starting point just as we are.  Providing opportunities for introductions and contacts and by doing so, making Hollywood just a little smaller and friendlier to those starting out."

Actor-writer MICK PRESTON notes, "Marc and Elaine's class was wonderful.  I've been acting for about 11 years and had absolutely no luck in meeting the people I'd been targeting.  With the Zicrees' coaching, we formulated a plan to reach those people more effectively. By week 3 of the class, I was ready to make the calls, but at my first attempt I sat by the phone for 3 hours, unable to pick it up.  That night I got coaching.  The next day, I made 20 calls. By week 6, I had set up appointments with 16 MAJOR industry people. I had about an 80% success rate!"

JIM DUNN AND SAM ERNST, who took the Supermentors class this past year, add, "Since we took your seminar we've managed to put the insights we picked up from you to good use.  We've now sold 3 screenplays on top of the one we had optioned when we met you -- all without an agent.  Better yet, we pitched an idea that got one producer so excited it's not only getting made -- we're directing it!"

And actor VICTOR LEE says, "The Zicrees hold me accountable for a lot of work, but that work allows them to analyze what I'm up to as well.  In addition, I have become much more focused about how I approach the business.  I will also say that this is the first time I have been in a situation in which I am instructed on a creative level and a practical level.  I literally sleep better each night knowing that I have done everything that I could do for my career."

Writer REECE MICHAELSON enthuses, "At any given hour I found myself thinking 'I just got my entire course fee's worth.  How does it get better than this?'  I highly suggest that you take this course before they start charging what it's really worth, and what you'll pay anyone else ten times as much for twenty times less."

CLIFF GALBRAITH chimes in, "I believe I learned more about development in one session than my entire three year experience here in Los Angeles.  Thanks again for the inspiration."

  • An aspiring writer WITH NO TV OR FILM CREDITS gets read by nine agencies during staffing season (an impossibility, by all Hollywood rules), gets offered representation by two and lands a staff writer job on a CBS' hit show THE DISTRICT!
  • Another student lands on the writing staff of THE WEST WING!
  • One of our actors lands a lead in a feature and gets a role specifically written for him by the showrunner on THIRD WATCH!
  • A young writer with NO CREDITS gets what he needs to option a story by a famous writer, negotiate the deal, write the script for a half-hour film, get hooked up with a top TV director and land fifty thousand dollars in financing!
  • Another writer with NO CREDITS gets the openings to have his pilot read by top network executives and showrunners - and gets hired to rewrite a feature film going into production!
  • A actress making the transition to director gets hooked up with major TV directors and gets to observe them up close and personal at work on network shows!
  • A writer who knows NO ONE in the Industry comes from Virginia to take our class, finishes one screenplay, options a Pulitzer-Prize winning series of articles for a second script and attaches a hot-shot producer to make the movie! Our students get vital "inside" info on studios, networks, shows and executives - often known before the major talent agencies get it - giving them the upper hand going into pitch meetings.
